Team Genesis was founded by Elaine Jones to cultivate the athletic potential of gifted basketball players who aspire to continue in the sport on a collegiate and professional level. Since 1995, Ms. Jones has helped over 100 students in Houston receive basketball scholarships to colleges across the US, and has served as the catalyst to 3 NBA careers.

Today Tunde Harry Williams, Jr. continues this proud legacy by mentoring these athletes in the development of athleticism, academic success, character, and the overall attainment of personal goals.

Formerly headquartered in Lynchburg, Virginia from 2009 - 2015, Team Genesis International relocated to Memphis, Tennessee in the summer of 2016.

Genesis is more than just a basketball program or an education; we are a family that values God, hard work, team, character, and consistency.

gifted athletes program

The Gifted Athletes Program (GAP) serves high school aged basketball players who are gifted in their sport, but have little exposure to skilled coaching staffs, sufficient facilities or other such tools to help them excel in their sport. These athletes are often from rural or international areas.

Along with intense basketball skills training, we specifically partner with families who have chosen to homeschool their student. Students have the option of receiving their high school education through a charter school satellite program or through an online program that uses a system of goal setting by each individual student / parent and to teach self-discipline as part of the standard high school curriculum.
